Types of Skin Cancers:

  • Basal cell carcinoma (BCC):

    The most common type, arises from basal cells in the deepest layer of the skin. It typically appears as a small, pearly bump or a sore that does not heal. 

  • Squamous cell carcinoma (SCC):

    Arises from squamous cells in the upper layer of the skin. It may appear as a scaly, red patch or a raised bump. 

  • Merkel cell carcinoma:

    A rare but aggressive type that originates from Merkel cells in the skin. It may appear as a firm, painless lump.

  • Seborrheic Keratosis:

  • a common, benign (non cancerous) skin growth that appears as raised, wart- like lesions.

  • Melanoma:

  • is a type of skin cancer that develops from melanocytes, the cells that produce melanin (the pigment that gives skin its color). It is the most dangerous type of skin cancer and can spread rapidly if not detected and treated early.
